If you think your WIFI is safe...think again!

If you thought using WiFi was safe, think again. Researchers in Belgium have discovered a massive flaw in WiFi they've dubbed "Krack Attack." The issue they found has to do with encrypted messages your device and the WiFi source exchange in order to authenticate you when you connect. Basically, a hacker could manipulate those messages to gain access to what is supposed to be a secure network. This weakness applies to all WiFi that runs the standard security protocol WPA2, which means it impacts basically all devices on the planet. There's nothing you can do to protect your data, but device manufacturers were notified about the flaw, and are working on updates (patches) to fix the issue. (Consumerist
