Prom Attendees May Have to Wear "Modesty Ponchos" Over Dresses

Officials at Michigan's Dearborn Catholic High School have announced that they'll make female students wear pink "modesty ponchos" at prom if their dresses are deemed to be too revealing. One student tell FOX-2 that she thinks the school has "gone too far" with the policy, with a parent adding, "It's a method of shaming...and degrading to females." Counters Dearborn theology teacher Mary Pat O'Malley, who came up with the idea, "We are trying focus on the inner beauty and not draw attention to something that doesn't need attention drawn to it. It was really intended as a deterrent, and a light-hearted one at that."
