My name is Lily and I would love to be your FUR-ever pup!

Lily

Hi, my name is Lily.  I am a seven year old, approximately 60 pound, English Bulldog who came back into the rescue as an owner surrender.  My first five years were not the greatest, as I was used to produce puppies.  I was adopted over a year ago but unfortunately, I was surrendered due to being a little bossy with my human toddler sibling.

I am still getting used to my foster home and I am fitting in well.  I was a little nervous at first but am now beginning to follow my foster brother (a Goldendoodle) and foster parents all around the house.  I do a great job of picking up people’s emotions.  This does cause me to be a bit sensitive but I just love my people.

I am looking for the right home.  I need a home where I can live out my later years as a spoiled pup.  I would do best in a home with children 12 years and older.  I would prefer a home where someone is home the majority of the day or where I can be brought to work.  I would do great at work – I rarely make a peep and LOVE a comfy dog bed to lie in all day.  I am kennel trained but I do not like to stay in it for long periods of time.  I LOVE my special bones and am on a grain free diet to help with my breathing.

Like most bulldogs, I would do best in a home without many stairs.  The vet found out I have arthritis in my hip and back legs.  My foster family is working with me on this and the medicine has me moving around like a new dog.  I will need to stay on this medication so my new family would need to be able to pay for it.

I am not a fan of walking on a leash, but this may get better with time.  I am potty trained but may have an accident here or there, if I’m left alone for a long period of time.  I get along great with other dogs but could do fine in a home where I am the only dog and spoiled rotten.

My adoption fee is $200.  I will come up to date on all of my vaccines, microchipped, and spayed. If you think we might be a good fit, please complete my application.

Little White Dog Rescue has a meet and greet on Saturday May 19 from 12-2 pm.  Come see us at PetSmart in Council Bluffs (815 McDermott St.) to find your new furry friend.
