A WW 2 Vet is hoping you can help him with his wish for his 100th bday!

When he turns 100 on June 6th, Isaac “Ike” Fabela hopes his birthday wish comes true. The World War II veteran will be checking his Michigan mailbox because he really wants to get 100 birthday cards from folks across the country.

Ike was on a boat bound for Normandy on D-Day, June 6th, 1944 - which also happened to be his 26th birthday - but he was pulled off at the last minute, explains Lolie, one of Ike’s eight daughters. She says her father is “so excited” for his 100th birthday adding that their town of Montrose is planning various celebrations to honor him.

Ike says he has everything he needs already, but he would love to get 100 birthday cards. So if you’d like to help make sure this veteran’s wish comes true, drop a card to:
