Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, more added to CMT Awards

 

               

Jason Aldean, Backstreet Boys, Carrie Underwood, Dan + Shay, and Florida Georgia Line have all been added as performers at next week's CMT Music Awards, along with the night's hosts, Little Big Town, who will now reportedly debut a brand new single. The CMT Music Awards will also boast collaborations between Dierks Bentley and Brothers Osborne, and Darius Rucker with Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and Charles Kelley during the live broadcast from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on June 6th beginning at 8 p.m. ET. Dierks and the Brothers will team up on "Burning Man," a track on Dierks' upcoming album, The Mountain, while Darius, Jason, Luke and Charles will perform the Drivin’ N Cryin’ song, “Straight to Hell,” from Darius’ When Was the Last Time album.

They join previously announced performers Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt.

Kelly Clarkson will premiere a new version of The Guess Who’s “American Woman,” the official theme of the upcoming Paramount Network series of the same title premiering on June 7th at 10 p.m. ET. Voting to determine the winners in each category for the CMT Music Awards is underway at CMT.com through 12:01 a.m. ET on June 4th.
