Alexa will now be able to assist you in your temporary home away from home when you're traveling, with Amazon launching a version for hotels who sign up to put Echo smart speakers in the rooms. Guests will be able to use Alexa for Hospitality to do things like order room service, ask for more towels, get restaurant recommendations, check out at the end of their stay, turn out the lights and play music. Marriott has already signed up, and will have Echo speakers in 10 hotels this summer. Data from hotel guests will be deleted daily, and Marriott has said that guests who don't want an Echo in their room can ask to have it removed. (Associated Press)
