Robert Reford confirmed Monday to Entertainment Weekly that he's retiring from acting at the age of 81. "Never say never, but I pretty well concluded that this would be it for me in terms of acting," Redford said about latest movie, The Old Man and the Gun. "[I’ll] move towards retirement after this ’cause I’ve been doing it since I was 21. I thought, 'Well, that’s enough.' And why not go out with something that’s very upbeat and positive?" The Old Man and the Gun is based on the true story of Forrest Tucker, who escaped from San Quentin at age 70 to pull off an unprecedented string of heists. It co-stars Oscar winners Casey Affleck and Sissy Spacek and is scheduled to arrive in theaters on September 28.
