Video: Chris Stapleton Pays Tribute to Aretha Franklin

On Saturday night, Chris Stapleton honored the late Aretha Franklin with a stunning, soulful take on her 1967 hit “Do Right Woman, Do Right Man" that ended with him unleashing a powerful guitar solo. Ever unassuming, Stapleton called her "the greatest singer that ever lived" and “one of my all-time favorites,” and then added, “I would never presume to sing an Aretha Franklin song, but in tribute to her tonight, I’ll give it my best shot.” The country singer was playing at the Forum in Los Angeles; he also noted that Franklin "opened the building" in 1968, making the tribute even more appropriate.
