Hackers can cost the global economy $1.14 million every minute, UPI reports. The statistic was revealed on Tuesday by RiskIQ, a San Francisco cyber security company. RiskIQ showed their analyses in an infographic called "The Evil Internet Minute." During that minute, 1,861 people become victims of hacking, the company added. Last year alone, hackers cost the global economy $600 billion. In spite of businesses spending $171,233 a minute to try to keep their information more secure, the hackers continue to be successful. "Businesses must realize that they are vulnerable beyond the firewall, all the way across the open internet," says RiskIQ CEO Elias Manousos.
