The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) is advising people to go out and get their flu shots now. Experts are saying that any child over six months and every adult should get a vaccine by the end of October at the very latest. The flu shot still works to prevent infection in those who wait to get it in fall or winter but it seems that getting it now gives people the best protection. The CDC also announced that the flu vaccine has been reworked for this upcoming year to hopefully better target the strains that are more likely to go around this year. (Time)
