Weight Watchers is rebranding under the new moniker WW. CNN Money reports that CEO Mindy Grossman announced the change on Monday, explaining that the new name reflects the company’s focus on “overall wellness” and not just shedding pounds. "The role WW can play in people's lives goes far beyond a number on the scale," board member Oprah Winfrey added in a release. "As Weight Watchers becomes WW, I believe we will continue to inspire people not only to eat well, but to move more, connect with others and continue to experience the joys of a healthy life." The rebranded WW app will relaunch in the United States on October 4, while the international app will relaunch in the first quarter of 2019.
