Trix cereal is relaunching with its original fruit shapes. According to The Shade Room, the fruit shapes are returning after General Mills received more than 20,000 requests from cereal lovers and folks on social media. “Trix cereal is beloved by our fans, and we heard loud and clear that they wanted to see the iconic shapes back in their bowls,” General Mills’ director of marketing, Scott Baldwin, says in a statement. “When Trix launched in 1954, it was the first fruit-flavored cereal that was colorful and fun.” It’s worth noting, however, that Trix were only fruit-shaped between 1991 and 2006--when it returned to a round shape. The new Trix will hit shelves across the United States this month with it’s classic fruity flavors: raspberry red, lemony lemon, orangey orange, wildberry blue, grapity purple, and watermelon.
