Hi, my name is Whiskey. I am a long haired Chihuahua that spent my entire life in a breeding facility. I am very independent and unsure of humans. I am a loving dog, but that does take time to shine through since I am so scared. Once I am in your arms, I will relax and let you hold me.
I am learning house manners and socialization skills, both of which will take some time. My forever family will have to work on these skills with me.
I am in need of a patient and loving home to assist me in adapting to my newly earned freedom.
I do have quite a few quirks which make me all the more precious. Since I don’t have many teeth at all, my tongue is often hanging outside of my mouth. I like to shake my head and I have a little twitch. I am able to go up steps, however I can only go up one or two steps so I will need to be carried down stairs. I like to growl at the other dogs and gum at them but I do not hurt anyone and all puppies love me. I do not love all puppies. I may not even be tolerant however I am harmless to other dogs.
I would do well in a home with another dog as I am an antisocial dog. I like to be alone, but like other dogs to be in close proximity. I may not be the dog that snuggles up to you, but once I trust you and you are quick enough to catch/corner me, I love to be held.
My adoption fee is $200, or $150 if I’m adopted by a senior. I will come up to date on all of my vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. If you think we might be a good fit, please complete my application.
