Are you an aspiring father who wants to have healthy kids one day? Start hitting the gym now, as a new Ohio State University study shows that men who exercise before conceiving children tend to have kids with healthier metabolisms. This result, which was yielded through a study of male mice, held true even if the dad/mouse had a high-fat diet. "If we ask someone who's getting ready to have a child to exercise moderately, even for a month before conception, that could have a strong effect on the health of their sperm and the long-term metabolic health of their children," Dr. Kristin Stanford, an assistant professor at the Ohio State University College of Medicine, told
