Emergency Beer Runs In Iceland After U.S. Troops Show Up

Recently, between 6,000 and 7,000 United States military personnel gathered together in Iceland. It was for an exercise called the Trident Juncture, where 50,000 gather from 29 allies, in addition to Finland and Sweden, to participate. It turns out, our American fighting men and women did us proud. They drank so much of the local beer that “emergency beer runs” had to be called in to meet the demand. Bar owners said they’d never seen anything quite like it, and even took to borrowing from other bars to keep up, but – as one local blogger put it – “they were fighting an overwhelming force.”
