A good samaritan helps a little boy during his battle with cancer.

The Miller family was enjoying the holidays with their family in Utah when their eight-year-old son, Perryn, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The little boy had a bad migraine, so they took him to the ER and that’s when they got the bad news of the rare cancer.

The family is from North Carolina, but they lost their home during Hurricane Florence last year and are still in the process of rebuilding. They plan to stay in Utah for Perryn’s treatment, unfortunately their eight-month-old puppy, Frank, was still back in North Carolina with relatives. But when former long-haul truck driver Robert Reynolds found out about their story on Facebook, he wanted to help the Millers.

After reading about how much Perryn loves his German shepherd dog, he volunteered to drive Frank from North Carolina to Utah to reunite the best friends. Now the boy and his dog are together again, thanks to the kindness of a stranger.

“I just think it’s a great thing that Frank can be there with him and help him recover,” Reynolds says. “He does have a long journey; hopefully Frank helps him out.”
