A loyal Golden Retriever is being recognized for his heroic efforts to save his owner in China. The dog’s owner had collapsed in an alley and locals called emergency services, but dashcam footage shows the pet waiting for the ambulance in the middle of the road then running away, trying to get rescuers to follow.
One of the rescuers told a local news outlet that the dog kept looking back at the ambulance to see if it was following, then running when he saw they were behind. The faithful pooch led responders to a crowd that had formed around his unconscious owner. The man was treated at the hospital and is now recovering thanks to his guard dog.
