What's the Best Way to Organize Your Grocery List?
You ever notice how making a grocery list before you head to the supermarket often leads to a longer trip than if you'd made no list at all? Lifehacker writer Kate Bernot's mom figured out a way to stop this nonsense years ago: by organizing her list by her route through the store. "My mom’s method does require that you shop mostly at the same, familiar store," writes Bernot. "But even if you don’t, you can roughly approximate a store’s layout: produce when you first walk in, meats and dairy along the back wall, canned and dried stuff in the middle, bakery and specialty departments near the end."
