Miranda Lambert Admits She Hung Up On Interviewer

It's widely known, that when Miranda Lambert released an album following her breakup with now ex-husband, Blake Shelton, she avoided the media.

Now, People Magazine reports that at first, she told her manager, " I’m not speaking to anyone until they hear this record,” because she thought the songs spoke for themselves. She went on to say that anything she would have told interviewers - “would’ve been taken out of context.”

Then when the album came out, the first question in the first interview was, "How do you feel about Gwen?" Miranda admits, she hung up on them and told her manager, "I just can’t do this.” Referring to her album, The Weight of Therese Wings, she said: "I felt, maybe, a different kind of fear than any other record. It was really my life’s work and my life’s story. But there was also relief, I was thankful to let the music do what the music does — and to allow myself that."

You can hear some of the songs live this summer, as Miranda and Little Big Town are on the road together for their Bandwagon Tour. The next show is July 12, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
