Dolly Parton celebrates her 76th birthday today and you can celebrate with one of her favorite treats!
Dolly Parton and Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream collaboration is returning for another limited-edition run of her Strawberry Pretzel Pie ice cream. To review, when it was first introduced back in April 2021, it sold out immediately.
Don’t remember? The company says it’s made of sweet cream cheese ice cream layered with salty pretzel bits and red strawberry sauce. As with the original promotion,
sales will benefit Dolly’s Imagination Library, a nonprofit she founded in 1995 that gifts free books to children from birth to the age of five. The goal is to encourage early reading and 173-million books have been gifted since the program began.
As an added bonus, fans can also pre-order an exclusive digital version of her new 12-song album, “Run, Rose Run.” This version includes a 13th bonus track “Rose of My Heart.” The actual album drops on March 4th and is a companion to a new novel with the same name that Dolly wrote with James Patterson. It’s about a young woman who moves to Nashville to become a star (the book is set to drop March 7th). All the songs were based on characters and situations in the book.
- The Strawberry Pretzel Pie ice cream goes for $12 per pint and the “Run, Rose, Run” digital album is $8. Both can be ordered HERE at the Jeni’s website. The ice cream pints will ship in April, but the digital album will arrive on the release date of March 4th.
