Did this diamond come from outer space?

  • The rare, 555.55-carat black diamond called "The Enigma" is headed to auction.
  • This thing isn't just rare because of its size; specialists have theorized that the diamond was created from "a meteoric impact" or came from a diamond-bearing asteroid that collided with Earth.
  • It was named the largest cut diamond in the world by the Guinness Book of World Records back in 2006,
  • "The Enigma" was first seen by the public in LA and Dubai this week after its owner kept it tucked away for two decades. Sotheby's will show off the diamond in London next month before its auction.
  •  It's expected to sell for around $7 million.
