Primal Kitchen voluntarily recalled 2,060 cases of Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil on April 19th due to unsafe product packaging. According to the United States Food and Drug Administration, three code dates of the company's 750 mL Avocado oil bottles were made with glass that easily breaks and is prone to spilling.
The issue was first discovered at the Primal Kitchen warehouse where officials found avocado oil leaking inside the shipping containers. Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil bottles prone to breakage were distributed across the East Coast, California, and sold online nationwide. The FDA mentioned that no injuries or illnesses have occurred as a result of the faulty packaging. Officials are encouraging consumers to throw the product away if previously purchased.
Customers should avoid purchasing Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil bottles with UPC codes 8-5523200719-4 and 108552320071910000, that feature "Best When Used By dates" of August 19th, 2025 through August 21st, 2025.
This is the only primal kitchen product that was recalled as a result of a packing issue. Concerned consumers with questions should call Primal Kitchen from "10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday, at +1 (888) 774-6259."
