Last month, a man arrived unconscious at Methodist Dallas Medical Center with his loyal dog, Bear Bear 🐕. Nurse Dezorey Arocha cared for him in the ICU, but sadly, the man passed away 😢. Arocha couldn’t stop thinking about Bear Bear and was determined to find him a loving home 🏡.

After an 11-day search, Arocha and another nurse contacted local rescues and finally found Bear Bear at the SPCA of Texas 🐾. Bear Bear had a rough start, rescued from an animal hoarding case in September 2023. He was adopted but returned to the shelter after his new owner’s death 💔. Thanks to his microchip, the SPCA identified him and took him back.

Arocha spotted Bear Bear on the SPCA website and quickly arranged to meet and adopt him 🥰. She renamed him Asher, and now he’s living his best life with Arocha and her two other dogs 🐕🐕. Arocha hopes her story inspires others to adopt pets from shelters 🐾❤️.

Chris Luna, CEO of the SPCA of Texas, highlights the importance of microchipping, which helped reunite Bear Bear with his new forever family 🏡✨.

Feel free to share this heartwarming story! 🐶❤️
