Last month, a man arrived unconscious at Methodist Dallas Medical Center with his loyal dog, Bear Bear š. Nurse Dezorey Arocha cared for him in the ICU, but sadly, the man passed away š¢. Arocha couldnāt stop thinking about Bear Bear and was determined to find him a loving home š”.
After an 11-day search, Arocha and another nurse contacted local rescues and finally found Bear Bear at the SPCA of Texas š¾. Bear Bear had a rough start, rescued from an animal hoarding case in September 2023. He was adopted but returned to the shelter after his new ownerās death š. Thanks to his microchip, the SPCA identified him and took him back.
Arocha spotted Bear Bear on the SPCA website and quickly arranged to meet and adopt him š„°. She renamed him Asher, and now heās living his best life with Arocha and her two other dogs šš. Arocha hopes her story inspires others to adopt pets from shelters š¾ā¤ļø.
