Ever wondered what it’s like to see the world from a left-handed perspective? šŸŒāœ‹ On August 13th, we celebrateĀ International Lefthanders Day!

Did you know some of the most influential people are lefties? 🤯 Presidents likeĀ Ronald Reagan,Ā Bill Clinton, andĀ Barack ObamaĀ all share this unique trait. šŸŽ©šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

Rock legends likeĀ Paul McCartneyĀ andĀ Jimi HendrixĀ (who inspired Stevie Ray Vaughan to play left-handed) are also part of the lefty club! šŸŽøšŸŽ¶ And let’s not forget icons likeĀ Oprah Winfrey,Ā Julia Roberts, andĀ Lady Gaga. 🌟

In the world of sports, legendary baseball ā€œsouthpawsā€ likeĀ Babe RuthĀ andĀ Sandy KoufaxĀ made their mark. āš¾ļøšŸ†

International Lefthanders Day, first celebrated by Dean R. Campbell in 1976, honors the uniqueness of left-handed individuals. 🄳 So, if you’re a lefty, raise your left-handed cup and toast to all the amazing left-handers out there! šŸ„‚āœ‹

10 Everyday Things That Are a Nightmare for Lefties! šŸ˜±āœ‹

Unless you’re a lefty, you might not realize how many everyday items are designed for right-handed people. Here are some surprising ones that lefties struggle with:

  1. Jeans ZippersĀ šŸ‘– The flap covering the zipper is on the left, making it nearly impossible to zip with your left hand.
  2. Credit Card MachinesĀ šŸ’³ The swiper is always on the right, and the pen is tethered to the right side, just like at banks.
  3. Measuring CupsĀ šŸ„„ If you hold one in your left hand, you’re stuck measuring in milliliters instead of ounces.
  4. Car FobsĀ šŸš— The button is set up for righties, so lefties have to open them upside down.
  5. MicrowavesĀ šŸ² If you push the button to open it with your left hand, the door hits your arm.
  6. Rulers and Tape MeasuresĀ šŸ“ If you use a tape measure left-handed, the numbers are upside down.
  7. Power ToolsĀ šŸ› ļø The handle you pull down on is on the right, making it unsafe for lefties who have to cross their arms.
  8. Novelty Coffee CupsĀ ā˜• If there’s printing on one side, it faces out for righties, leaving lefties with a blank side.
  9. Playing CardsĀ šŸƒ Many cards only have numbers in two corners, making it hard for lefties to see them well.
  10. Serrated KnivesĀ šŸ”Ŗ The teeth are set up for right-handed use, causing lefties to cut unevenly.
