Bailey Zimmerman shared a heartfelt message after posting his apology for performing “too drunk” at Luke Bryan’s 10th Crash My Playa festival in Cancún, Mexico.
The festival took place January 15 through 18. Videos circulated on social media of Zimmerman, 24, delivering a performance he deemed “awful,” and said “nobody got the show that they wanted or paid for, and I’m disappointed in myself.” Zimmerman said in his apology, in part, “I decided to drink that day — which was a mistake — and I got up on stage and I was too drunk to play. And I sang awful. I played awful.” He added that he’ll do “everything in my power to make sure that this never happens ever again.”
Zimmerman posted a clip set to “Holy Smokes” on Wednesday (January 22). He said “growing up is hard,” but it’s important to “earn from (mistakes) and keep going.
“The amount of y’all that have commented, dm’d me, called me, txted me… telling me how much you care about me is unbelievable… thank yall truly,” Zimmerman wrote in his caption. “It really means the world knowing I’ve got so many people that have my back. Even when I mess up. This is just a bump in the road❤️”
Zimmerman, who turns 25 on Monday (January 27), added that he’s looking ahead to his nearly sold-out “New To Country Tour” and new music arriving “soon.” He concluded his post: “Thanks for having my back❤️ Love yall for real.”
