He Was Just Playing Disc Golf… Then a Shark Fell from the Sky 🦈⛳
Jonathan Marlowe was just out for a casual round of disc golf with friends in Myrtle Beach when things got weird. Like, “tiny hammerhead shark falling from the sky” weird.
It happened on Hole 11 at Splinter City Disc Golf Course. Jonathan looked up and saw an osprey flying overhead—cool, but not unusual. Then two crows swooped in and started chasing it. Bird drama!
The three birds tangled in a nearby tree, and suddenly—boom—something dropped from the sky. Jonathan figured it was a fish. Technically, he was right… but it was a hammerhead shark. 😳
Apparently, ospreys are expert fishers and sometimes go after wild catches like this. But crows? They’re known to gang up and harass bigger birds to protect their turf. In this case, the crows won—and the shark lost.
Disc golf courses are often in nature-y spots, so wildlife sightings aren’t rare. But a shark falling from the sky? That’s next-level. Jonathan and his friends were left standing there like, “Did that really just happen?”
