(Omaha, NE ) -- Applications are open for one of Omaha's biggest programs helping young people find summer jobs. Step Up Omaha links 14- to 21-year-olds with paid positions, career training, and internships. The program has helped 8,000 young people over the last 15 years in dozens of industries.
A press release said this summer's program begins June 2 and runs through July 31, providing hands-on training in health care, technology, education, construction and nonprofit sectors. Interns can earn $1,800 to $3,000 or more during the summer.
Applications are being accepted through March 16.
Step-Up Omaha, organized by Empowerment Network, a non-profit creating opportunities for empowerment and transformation in every zip code and neighborhood in the city of Omaha and other communities.
