One of my favorite songs by Ashley McBryde is "Girl Goin' Nowhere". I love the story behind the song.
Watch the first video below. She tells the story of a high school teacher telling her that the songwriting dream she had was silly. Ashley was told a "plan B" would be a good idea when she came crawling back to town. So powerful.
The second video is her heartfelt performance at the Opry.
When Garth Brooks was looking for songs for his latest album, he wanted to record this one. Ashley told him she already recorded it for her album and it wasn't available. Garth still performed the song in his shows with a great nod to Ashley. That is the third video.
