What is the difference between a "teaser" and a "trailer" for a movie?
I would guess the "trailer" actually gives you a quick synopsis of the plot and movie. The "teaser" just, well, teases you.
Lucasfilm Ltd. released the official "teaser" for Episode 9 "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker".
The slug simply says, "Every generation has a legend. Watch the brand-new teaser for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker."
Check it out. I think it stirs more questions than it answers. But, I'm looking forward to seeing it this Christmas.
