What’s the Most Loved Thanksgiving Side Dish? Campbell’s Has Answers
Thanksgiving is all about the food. Sure, family and football matter—but let’s be honest, we’re here for the sides.
Campbell’s just released their annual ranking of the most popular Thanksgiving side dishes, and the results are both predictable and a little surprising.
🥇 The Top Spot Goes To…
Mashed potatoes. No shocker there. Creamy, buttery, and always a crowd-pleaser. Whether you make them from scratch or go the shortcut route, mashed potatoes are the MVP of the Thanksgiving table.
🥈 Stuffing Is Holding Strong
Stuffing (or dressing, depending on where you’re from) came in second. It’s the one dish that sparks debate—cornbread vs. sourdough, sausage or no sausage—but it’s still a must-have.
🥉 Green Bean Casserole Makes the Podium
Campbell’s signature dish, green bean casserole, landed in third. Love it or leave it, it’s a classic. And yes, the crispy onions are non-negotiable.
Other Favorites That Made the List
- Mac and cheese (especially in the South)
- Sweet potatoes (with or without marshmallows)
- Cranberry sauce (jellied or homemade—no judgment)
What Didn’t Make the Cut?
Surprisingly, rolls and gravy didn’t crack the top five. Maybe because they’re considered essentials, not sides?
