A team just set a record by stacking 19,019 golf balls into a pyramid.
Here’s what matters:
- 38 rows tall
- No glue or adhesive allowed
- Built one ball at a time
- Supported by a custom wooden base
That “no glue” rule is the whole story. Every ball had to be placed exactly right. If one shifted, it could affect everything above it.
The base helped stabilize the bottom layer, but after that, it came down to consistency. Each row had to be tight and even so the next layer would hold.
This wasn’t fast. It required focus the entire time. Over 19,000 placements with no shortcuts.
The result is simple: a clean pyramid that holds together on balance alone.
