  • Potato chips are America's favorite snack, so they get their own National Day!
  • Have you ever made potato chips at home? Thanks to TiTok, there are tons of videos showing you how to do it.
  • When you make them at home, they can be healthier by using minimal oil, less salt, and herbs and spices for seasoning.
  • Here's one way to do it at home!
  • Grab some potatoes, wash the skin, and pat dry. Slice the potatoes to the size you want. The thinner it is, the crispier it will get.
  • Toss them with a little olive oil, and layer the slices on the baking sheet.
  • Bake in the oven at 200-220 degrees. Bake for 10 minutes, then using tongs, flip each one, and bake for 7–8 minutes more.
  • You can season them with simple salt and pepper, add some chili powder or oregano, and eat them with any dip.
  • Baked potato chips are best eaten right away but can be stored in a covered container for 1–2 weeks (just be sure to let them cool completely before storing).
  • What's your favorite way to make homemade potato chips?
