While America fires up the grill this summer, 'Eat This' tracked down some of most outrageously expensive hot dogs ever created.
- L.A.'s CouCou Bistro offers a $29 L'Haute Dog that comes with a pork sausage topped with onion marmalade, cheese fondue and spicy mustard.
- Boston Harbor's Rare Lounge charges $17 for an order of five pigs in a blanket. They're made with Wagyu beef and spiced puff pastry and served with smoked ketchup and steakhouse mayo.
- Back in 2020, NYC's The Standard asked $75 for one of their Yacht Dogs that came topped with caviar. The moeny went to a good cause, though; a charity that helped service industry workers deal with financial hardship during the pandemic.
- In 2010, another NYC spot, Serendipity 3, created, at that time, the world's most expensive hot dog. The eatery's $69 foot-long was topped with duck liver, truffle butter, truffle mustard, and heirloom tomato ketchup.
