Have you tried the "One hour method," for cleaning?

The idea of having a home that’s organized and has been deep cleaned is appealing to a lot of us, but when we think of actually doing the work ourselves, it can feel really overwhelming. That feeling can leave us in a panic, not knowing where to start, so we don’t end up doing it. And that’s where the one-hour method can help.

It’s a strategy that’s simple, but effective, and it only takes … yep, an hour at a time. With the one-hour method, you spend an hour a day cleaning or decluttering a specific area in your home, but only what you can do in that time. If you keep it up for a month or so, your entire space will be tidy and organized and easier to maintain, without the overwhelm that comes with tackling the whole house at once.

You can put your own spin on the idea, working room-by-room or chore-by-chore, enjoying the satisfaction that comes with crossing off those tasks on your to-do list. Set a timer so you stick to just 60 minutes at a time and when you feel like quitting, you’ll be able to check the timer and see you only have a few minutes left to go. Little by little, the work gets finished and then it’ll be easier to maintain regularly.
