A California homeowner was ordered to keep his parked boat out of the view of his neighbors, who complained to town officials. Etienne Constable of Seaside, California, was ordered to build a 6-foot fence to obscure the boat from his neighbors. Constable agreed – and built the fence. And then he got the last laugh by hiring a local artist to paint a realistic image of his boat on the fence, so it looks like there's no fence. Constable says, "I'm not a rule-breaker but I like to make a political statement as necessary as well as a humorous statement and a creative statement." So far, he has not received any response from the town.
