Native North Carolinian Scotty McCreery, who actually owns a home in the Western North Carolina mountains, has come forward encouraging others to help his community in any way that you can, and he also shared his personal connection to the region.
An Instagram post reminds us that he and his wife Gabi were engaged in the mountains and married there as well. His most recent album, Rise and Fall, was also written there when he invited songwriters to his home. And his son Avery was named after hard-hit Avery County.
Our thoughts are with all of our friends across the Southeast affected by Hurricane Helene.
