Al Roker is out promoting his new cookbook, Al Roker’s Recipes to Live By, and in a recent interview, he shared a rule he follows at the dinner table to prevent overeating. He says he and his wife, Deborah Roberts, have a no phone at the table policy. They leave their phones in a basket during meals. Al believes that being glued to screens while eating makes it easy to overeat without even realizing it. And by being more present, they enjoy the meal and each other’s company more.
