Popularized in locales like London and now gaining traction in the states, these basement renovations can add valuable living space and even income potential, although they do come with some challenges, namely, high costs, structural risks, and environmental concerns. With the right lighting, ventilation, and moisture control, homeowners can tap into a well of hidden square footage.
