Total Lunar Eclipse on March 13th and 14th

  • The first total lunar eclipse takes place this Thursday and Friday; the first since November 2022.
  • Earth blocks sunlight that normally reaches the moon, causing what some also call a "blood moon" due to our planet's shadow looks red.
  • The eclipse will begin in the US on Thursday at 11:57pm EST, reach its totality at around 2:30am EST and end Friday at around 6am.
