- It took more than 12 days, but cops have retrieved two pairs of diamond earrings worth $769,000 that a Florida man stole and then swallowed on February 26th.
- Jaythan Gilder pretended to be an Orlando Magic rep so he could get access to the earrings and then ran out of an Orlando Tiffany and Company.
- Cops managed to stop him on Interstate 10 but couldn't find the jewels.
- Then, while in jail, Gilder randomly asked cops, "Will I be charged with what's in my stomach?"
- A body scan then found some foreign objects passing through his digestive system, with investigators waiting patiently until Gilder expelled them.
- Tiffany's has since thoroughly cleaned the earrings.
- Gilder has 48 outstanding warrants in Colorado and wasted busted for stealing from a Texas Tiffany's in 2022.
