Want to look like royalty on your wedding day but not break the bank on a dress? Rent one instead. Wedding dress rentals are increasing in popularity, for a number of reasons. They’re more affordable, of course. But renting is also sustainable and less wasteful. You can look glam in posh couture on your big day – and not have to box it up and store it when you’re done. And you can rent multiple dresses for multiple looks – one for the rehearsal dinner, one for the reception, one for the after-party. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that you are typically restricted from alterations, other than basic hemming or shortening straps. However, most outlets will take care of cleaning the dress when it is returned.
