As summer winds down, Pinterest is here to tell us what will be popular in the season ahead. Their 2025 Fall Trends Report has just been released, highlighting what everyone will be wearing and how they’ll be decorating their spaces, based on users’ interests.
The biggest trend overall for fall is a shift toward thrifting and sustainable shopping. Gen Z - which now makes up more than half of Pinterest users - is helping to drive this, with searches for “dream thrift finds” soaring 550% among users in this age group. Searches for “vintage fall aesthetic” are also up 1,074%.
These home, fashion and lifestyle trends will dominate this fall, according to Pinterest:
- Secondhand finds are in-demand, as searches for “thrifted kitchen” have jumped 1,012% and “thrifted decor” searches are up 283%.
- Statement tiles are having a moment, with searches for “vintage tiles” up more than 1,100%.
- Art Deco is making a comeback, searches for “Art Deco vintage” have climbed 805% and those for “Art deco interior 1920s vintage” are up 745%.
- Many users plan to be baking this season, but on a small scale, as searches for “mini dessert ideas” rose 529% and “mini egg cheesecake” were up 854%.
- When it comes to clothing, preppy aesthetics are a hot trend for fall. Pinterest has seen searches for “women’s preppy outfits” skyrocket by 47,680% and “preppy chic outfits" are up 2,056%.
- We’ll also be seeing more patchwork pieces and polka dots on everything from clothes to nails.
- For beauty, grungey glam makeup will be big, taking inspo from the 90s and 2000s, but with a modern twist. We’ll be seeing more pixie cuts, with searches for “chic pixie” up 2,435% and “pixie haircut 90s” surging 724%.
- Pinterest users are ready to pack their bags for a fall adventure, and the top destinations based on searches are “Switzerland countryside” (up 367%) and “England countryside cottage” (up 814%).
