If you’ve been on social media lately, you’ve definitely heard people complaining about “AI slop.” Slop is Gen Z’s way of calling out low-effort, AI-generated content that feels soulless or overly polished. It’s used to describe things like generic essays, recycled posts, or AI art that lacks personality or originality. If something looks like it was churned out by a bot with no human touch, it’s “slop.” And those who regularly create or consume this content are called “sloppers.” There’s an even more savage insult for those obsessed with AI tools like Grok – “Groksuckers.”
