Zach Top Kicks His Way Toward a Guest Spot on “The Pat McAfee Show”
Zach Top isn’t your typical country star. He sings, he smokes, he drinks—and now, apparently, he kicks field goals.
In a video posted to Instagram, Zach set up a 30-yard field goal and made a bold offer to Pat McAfee, host of “The Pat McAfee Show” and former NFL punter. “If I make it,” Zach said, “I don’t want your tuition money. Just have me on your show.”
Then he nailed it.
Not Your Average Audition
McAfee’s show is known for having college students attempt 33-yard field goals to win tuition money. Zach flipped the script. No scholarship needed—just a guest spot.
“I’m an old, fat, smoking, drinking country singer,” Zach joked. “I think you should be proud of me if I make this.”
After drilling the kick, he turned to the camera and said, “Have me on your show, Pat.”
McAfee Responds
It didn’t take long for McAfee to see the video. His comment? “WHAT A KICK.” Not exactly a booking confirmation, but it’s a solid start.
McAfee’s had plenty of country artists on his show, so Zach’s odds look good. And let’s be honest—anyone who kicks a field goal for a shot at a talk show deserves at least a segment.
