If you thought grocery store chocolate advent calendars were getting pricey, wait until you hear what the one percent are sipping on this holiday season.
A $10,500 Countdown
The Spirit Company has released a luxury whisky advent calendar that costs about $10,500. Instead of cardboard doors and foil-wrapped chocolates, this one comes in a handmade oak and walnut cabinet. Behind each door? A wax-sealed dram of some of the rarest spirits on the planet. It’s basically the Rolls Royce of holiday countdowns.
“Budget-Friendly” Options
Now, if dropping ten grand on whisky isn’t exactly in your holiday budget (same here), don’t worry. The company also offers versions that are a little more approachable: one for around $870 and another for about $275. Still not cheap, but definitely more realistic than the cabinet-of-dreams edition.
