Meet Minnie, the Gentle Giant Taking Over the Record Books
If you’ve ever joked that your dog thinks they’re a lapdog, wait until you meet Minnie. Guinness World Records just crowned this Connecticut Great Dane the world’s tallest female dog, and she’s every bit the superstar her name suggests.
A Big Title for a Dog With a Tiny Name
Minnie lives in North Stonington with her owners, Ken and Lisa Nogacek. At three and a half years old, she stands at an incredible 3 feet, 2 and a quarter inches tall from the floor to her withers. If you’re wondering what “withers” means, it’s the spot at the back of her neck, right above her shoulders. Basically, she’s tall enough to look you straight in the eye if you’re sitting on the couch.
What Minnie Loves Most
Despite her size, Minnie is all heart. She loves her toys, long walks, and hopping in the car for a ride. Picture a dog this tall trying to curl up in the backseat. It’s a whole vibe.
How She Compares
Minnie is just one inch shorter than the tallest male dog, another Great Dane named Reggie. So she’s not only a record holder, she’s practically royalty in the Great Dane world.
