If you’ve ever stared at the Starbucks menu like it’s a multiple‑choice test you didn’t study for, you’re not alone. And Starbucks knows it. So now they’re trying something new that starts with a feeling instead of a menu.
The company is testing a ChatGPT‑powered tool that lets you describe whatever vibe you’re in. Maybe you’re tired, cold, craving something sweet, or wearing a cozy sweater. You type it in, and the tool spits out a personalized drink suggestion.
According to Paul Riedel, the company’s SVP of digital and loyalty, customers aren’t always starting with the menu anymore. They’re starting with a feeling. So Starbucks wants to meet people in that moment and make choosing a drink feel easier.
