Tanya Tucker's recent musical tribute to Glen Campbell is not appreciated in the least by Glen's widow, Kim Campbell. Tanya has been making the media rounds performing a song called "Forever Loving You" which she released on August 9th, a day after Glen died of Alzheimer's. TMZ reports that Kim thinks Tanya is telling a "distorted fairy tale" of their short-lived romance. Tanya famously dated Glen in the '80s, and their reportedly volatile relationship was frought with substance abuse.
Sources close to Kim told TMZ that Tanya is "callous and disrespectful," exploiting Glen's name. They add that in reality, Tanya had nothing to do with Glen for 35 years, and it was her recent Today show performance that really upset Kim when the show's hosts "expressed their sympathy to Tucker and not the grieving widow and 3 kids Glen left behind." According to Tanya's reps, the singer is sharing the song as a way to raise awareness for Alzheimer's.
