Jeopardy contestant Austin Rogers, who has racked up an impressive $306,900 during his seven days on the show so far, is aware that his winning streak (and wacky antics) have made him a hit on Twitter. And during a Thursday appearance on Good Morning America, the bartender from New York revealed the secret to his success. "I did my homework. I gamed the game. I didn’t try to learn more, I already know enough. I just want the money," he declared. Rogers went on to explain that he watched hundreds of Jeopardy episodes and started to notice the repetition. "If it ever says Romanian poet, it'll be Enasescu," he noted as an example. "I have no idea who Enasescu is, but I've seen that come up three times in episodes across the decades." Rogers also shared that his "celebratory histrionics" on the show were a result of him guessing so many correct answers. When the GMA anchor pointed out that most Jeopardy participants are “reserved and quiet," Rogers replied with his signature deadpan humor, "Yeah, they’re nerds usually."
