Believe it or not, it’s almost Christmas. So while you’re baking the cookies and wrapping the presents, here are a few fun things your Google Home speaker can do this season.
Play Christmas tunes - Just say, “OK, Google, play Christmas music,” and your device will start playing Christmas tunes from your default streaming service. It works with Google Play Music, YouTube Music, Spotify, and Pandora.
Control your Christmas decorations - Your Google Home smart speaker can make your decorations smart, too. Just plug your regular light strands into a few Google-Home-compatible smart plugs and once you decorate, just say, “OK, Google, turn on the Christmas tree,” and like magic it’s all lit up and you don’t have to touch a thing.
Track Santa - Google has its own Santa tracker with games and activities, but it also lets you keep up with St. Nick’s whereabouts. Just say, “OK, Google, track Santa.” Or you can ask, “OK, Google, where is Santa right now?” The kids will love it!
Tell Santa what you want for Christmas - Say, “OK, Google, talk to Santa’s hotline,” and you can tell the big guy what’s on your list this year.
